Photo: Pining for Summer: Ghost Tree on Hurricane Ridge

Yesterday’s post about the Crash Kings’ song ‘Mountain Man’ got me pining for those long summer hikes, so I thought I’d post a picture from one last summer. It was taken as I was almost back to the car after a full day of randomly picking trails, then finally ending up on a long one. Halfway through the day, some kind person offered me bacon, which he carried in his pocket. I’m a vegetarian, so I declined. The thought was nice though.
