I often miss reservoir drawdowns, which are gems. You see the original streams. Of course, the landscape is much different than before the drawdowns. The reservoirs greatly change the streams that once flowed through the channels. Oftentimes, numerous towns were torn down and covered by the lake. This photo was taken near Morton, Washington. Towns did exist near this confluence, both to the north and to the south. Now, however; mountains rise above the old creeks, which meander through eerie tree stumps.
